In a heartfelt outreach on May 3, 2025, the Adeola Adeyemi Foundation (TAAF) paid a compassionate visit to the female inmates at the Suleja Custodial Centre. The visit was led by the foundation’s representative, Ms. Adeola Adeyemi, who aimed to offer support and uplift incarcerated women as part of TAAF’s broader mission to empower underprivileged women across Nigeria.
As part of the initiative, TAAF donated a variety of essential relief items, including foodstuffs, clothing, toiletries, sanitary pads, and mosquito nets. These donations were distributed to hundreds of inmates, bringing much-needed relief and morale to the centre.
At the handover ceremony, the foundation spokesperson, Ms. Adeola Adeyemi expressed that this act of solidarity was motivated by genuine compassion and a strong belief in human dignity. They underscored TAAF’s commitment to reminding society, and especially those in custody, that they are neither forgotten nor undeserving of care.
The gesture was met with heartfelt appreciation from the facility’s leadership. Mr. Suleman Ibrahim, the Officer-in-Charge of the Suleja Custodial Centre, expressed profound gratitude for the timely support, noting that such humanitarian efforts play a crucial role in bolstering inmate well-being and hope.
TAAF has a track record of similar humanitarian efforts, having previously extended support to widows, orphans, and internally displaced persons. This recent visit to Suleja reinforces their enduring mission to make a tangible impact in underserved communities.
